ok i was having kind of a crappy day but that whole kitchen nightmare’s thing with amy’s bakery made it allllllll better.

Chris got me a wii u for my birthday. We got the deluxe version so we have Nintendoland and Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. I love it! I’m playing a dual swordsman on MH3U. Nintendoland is loads of fun. Also I love that I finally have something besides my laptop to watch Netflix on. And the way the pad works with it is great. The pad can control your tv instead of your remote and it displays info about what you’re watching, shows a progress/time remaining bar, and allows you to continue browsing while you watch. Very handy c:
I took the day off for my birthday and I managed to get a lot of cleaning done. Went through my closet and got rid of a bunch of old clothes and donated them to goodwill, vacuumed everything, dusted, and did the dishes. I lit some candles and now the apartment smells like yummy fruit. Since my sister and her boyfriend have a wii u we’re going to play Nintendoland together tonight c: she lives out of state so I don’t get to do much with her or see her often so it should be a lot of fun.
this month has not been so great. found out at the beginning that my mom has cancer. yesterday she discovered it is kidney cancer that has spread to her lungs, lymph nodes and adrenal glands which puts her at stage four. it’s not a type of cancer that can be treated with chemo/radiation. she has to take drugs and hope they restrict the progression of the cancer. the five year survival rate is 10% for this stage.
tomorrow is my birthday. i’ll be 24. my mom might be dead before i’m even 30. jesus christ.

whew I’m not used to this whole “work 50 hrs a week’ thing. My last day at my old job is Sunday, after almost 6 years of working there. Also I’ve almost gotten my credit card debt below $1,000!! I should have it paid off by July if I stick to my budget. And I have a caterer! Yaay
